  • Basics

    2 packs of GREENFORCE vegetable-based spare ribs 8 bao buns

    Marinade

    4 tbsp soy sauce

    2 tbsp rice vinegar

    2 tbsp sesame oil

    2 tsp brown sugar

    A little pepper

    Some chili powder

    A small piece of ginger

    1 garlic clove

    2 stalks of spring onions

    1 pack of spare ribs sauce (from the package)

    Cole Slaw

    100g cabbage (mixed white & red)

    1 carrot

    1 spring onion

    A handful of coriander

    Slaw Dressing

    1 small piece of grated ginger

    2 tbsp sesame oil

    1 ½ tbsp rice vinegar

    1 tbsp soy sauce

    ¼ tbsp lemon juice

    ½ tsp tahini

    1 tsp brown sugar

    For the marinade, finely chop the spring onions and finely grate the garlic and ginger. Add all the other ingredients and mix well. Place the spare ribs in the marinade and let it soak in the refrigerator for about an hour. For the slaw, mix the dressing ingredients well in a small bowl. Chop the cabbage, carrots, leeks, and cilantro, add them to a large bowl, toss with the dressing, and let stand for about half an hour to an hour. Finally, garnish with roasted peanuts. Then steam the bao buns in a bamboo steamer for about 10-12 minutes. Meanwhile, fry the spare ribs for about 3 minutes on each side and finally spread the remaining marinade over the pieces. Cut the spare ribs into 4 equal pieces, place one piece on each bao, top with more marinade and slaw, and then just enjoy!
