VEGGIE JALAPEÑO HOT DOGS

  • 1 packet of Greenforce plant-based Vienna sausages

    1 packet of hot dog buns (4 pieces)

    2 tbsp vegan mayonnaise

    2 tbsp medium-hot mustard

    1 tsp agave syrup (or other honey alternative)

    1 tsp white wine vinegar

    Chilli powder

    Paprika powder (sweet or hot, as desired)

    Tomato ketchup

    20 g jalapeños (approx. 12 slices, preferably from a jar)

    40 g fried onions

    Mix the vegan mayonnaise, mustard, agave syrup and vinegar.

    Season to taste with chilli powder and paprika powder according to the desired level of spiciness.

    Heat the plant-based sausages in hot water for 5-7 minutes according to the instructions on the packet.

    If not already sliced, cut the jalapeños into thin strips and slice the hot dog buns.

    Place a hot sausage in each bun and top with the hot dog sauce and tomato ketchup. Garnish with fried onions and jalapeños.

    Alternatively, the hot dogs can also be creatively garnished with other ingredients such as red cabbage, gherkins, spring onions, sauerkraut or melted vegan cheese – whatever you like!
