Schnitzel in orange sauce

Yummi - now it's getting hearty and fruity. How it works? We take our vegan Easy To Mix Schnitzel, bread it, fry it until crispy and serve it with a fruity orange sauce and delicious rice. A great combination, see for yourself!

Ingredients

  • ½ pack of Easy To Mix Schnitzel
  • 30g Easy To Flake Crumbs or breadcrumbs
  • 120g rice
  • 1 onion
  • 1 orange
  • 150ml orange juice
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 150ml vegan cream
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 pinch of chili powder
  • Salt pepper
  • ½ bunch of parsley

    preparation

    • Mix Easy To Mix Schnitzel according to instructions and cool.
    • Meanwhile, cook the rice according to the preparation recommendations.
    • For the sauce, peel and chop the onion.
    • Wash the orange, grate the peel (1 teaspoon), then peel and cut into slices.
    • Heat the butter in a pot and briefly sauté the onion cubes.
    • Now sweat the flour in it and gradually add the orange juice and cream while stirring.
    • Add sugar, mustard and orange zest to the pot and let everything simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
    • Wash and roughly chop the parsley.
    • After the cooling time, take the schnitzel mix out of the refrigerator, shape into flat schnitzels, brush with a little water and bread them. Fry in a coated pan according to instructions.
    • Serve the schnitzel with rice and sauce and garnish with parsley and orange slices. Enjoy!
