Thai cake on sesame cucumber salad by Thomas Heß (Andaz Hotel Munich)

Executive Chef of the Andaz Hotel Munich Thomas Heß and Founder & Managing Director of GREENFORCE Thomas Isermann have been busy swinging their wooden spoons. The two of them have come up with an unusual version of our Easy To Mix meatball. Asian spices and refreshing cucumbers play the main role. The dish is summery, light and at the same time intense in taste. We love this recipe!

Ingredients
  • Easy To Mix Meatball
  • Cucumber
  • coriander
  • Pepperoni, red
  • Salt
  • Agave syrup (optional)
  • lime
  • Ginger
  • sesame
  • Sesame oil
  • Garlic
  • Kecap Manis
preparation
  • Mix the Easy To Mix Hack according to the instructions and cool.
  • Wash the cucumber, cut it into thin slices including the peel or slice it.
  • Lightly salt the cucumbers and let them stand so that the salt can absorb.
  • Finely chop 1/2 clove of garlic. Wash and finely chop the coriander. Cut the peppers into fine rings. Also cut a piece of ginger (approx. 1cm in size) and 1/2 an onion into fine cubes.
  • Add some of the garlic, coriander and peppers to the cucumbers. Also add sesame, sesame oil, agave syrup and a squeeze of lime.
  • Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  • After about 30 minutes, take the meatball mixture out of the refrigerator. Mix in the remaining peppers, ginger, garlic, onions, coriander, a pinch of sesame and two teaspoons of Kecap Manis.
  • Form 5-6 meatballs from the mixture. Fry in a non-stick pan with vegetable oil at low heat. After a short time, fry at a higher level until the desired degree of browning.
  • Place cucumber salad on a plate as a bed. Place the meatballs on top and decorate with sesame, coriander, lime and chilies. Complete!
Thomas Heß and Thomas Isermann wish you bon appetite!
