preparation

Meatballs:
  • Mix the Easy To Mix meatball according to the instructions, add the fried onions and butter. Cool for 30 minutes.
  • After the cooling time: Form large meatballs and fry them in a pan with a little oil until crispy.
Stomp:
  • Bring a pot of water and a little salt to the boil. Cook potatoes and carrots for about 20 minutes.
  • In the meantime, melt butter (1 tbsp) in a saucepan and slowly caramelize the onions over a low temperature. Stir regularly to prevent them from burning.
  • Mix organic oat drink with 100ml water (=oat cream).
  • Drain the potatoes and carrots and return them to the pot. Add the caramelized onions, the butter (1 tbsp) and the oat cream and mash. Season with salt and pepper.
Gravy:
  • Put the butter and onions in a pan and let them fry slowly with the lid closed.
  • When the onions are light brown and translucent, add flour. Let the roux fry briefly in the fat, stirring constantly.
  • Now gradually add the mushroom stock to the roux. Make sure there are no lumps. Let it simmer and season with salt and pepper.
  • Tip: You can (partially) replace the stock with vegan red wine or port wine. This way you get a more intense taste.
  • Serve the mash with the sauce and meatballs and enjoy. Eet Smakelijk!
