Spanish Albondigas

German meatballs, Greek biftekti or Spanish albondigas. The Spanish recipe is meatballs in tomato sauce. In Spain they are often served as tapas. This recipe is perfect for an evening with friends to share and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 Easy To Mix Hack
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 1 handful of chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • 500 ml tomato passata
  • 2 cloves of garlic, pressed
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ paprika powder (smoked)
  • 1 pinch of chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt pepper
  • Chopped flat-leaf parsley

preparation

  • Mix the Easy To Mix Hack according to the instructions and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In the meantime, finely chop the onions, parsley and garlic.
  • After 30 minutes, take the mince out of the fridge and mix with the spices and parsley.
  • Form 18-20 balls out of it and fry them in a pan with a little neutral rapeseed oil.
  • When the balls are nice and brown, turn the temperature down a little and sauté the garlic with olive oil in the same pan. The garlic should not brown.
  • Then add the tomato passata and stir in all the spices except the parsley. Cover with a lid and simmer gently for about 10-20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
  • Bread, rice or bulgur goes well with this.
